In exciting news Qantas has announced that it will be starting to Fly Direct From Perth to London with non-stop flights. The new Perth to London flights are expected to begin in March 2018 and this will be the first time that Australia and Europe will be directly linked by air. The new long haul flight route has been made possible with Qantas’s brand new 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
The new non-stop Perth to London flights will cover 14,498 kilometres and are expected to take around 17 hours. The Perth to London route will be the worlds longest non-stop flight, trumping the current longest route held by Emirates in their 14,200 kilometre Dubai to Auckland route.
This world first direct flight between Perth and London will make Europe more accessible from Australia than ever before. The new route is also a convenient addition for those doing business travel between Australia and Europe; cutting down on travel time and the need to transit and change planes.
The new flights will be operating from the Perth Domestic Airport terminals to allow greater ease for leisure and corporate travellers from the eastern states. Major upgrades will be made to Perth Domestic Airport terminals to accommodate the international travellers flying with Qantas.
Tickets for a seat on the Perth to London flights are expected to go on sale in April 2017.
